 If you tire of the coastline with its seascape and wonderful sunsets, then you can hire a car and venture inland to visit the hilly and mountain wildlife areas, sometime domain of bears and wolves. Curving mountain roads, undulating plateaux and dense pine forests beckon. Europe’s deepest canyon, the Tara river gorge, draws your eyes to a massive scene of green mountain flanks plunging over a kilometre down to the bright water.
